According to Section 203 of Title II of the Education Technical Assistance Act, each regional Comprehensive Center is required to establish an advisory board. Board members are required to advise MACC on its activities in the region. In addition, they receive an orientation to the main issues that contribute to the challenges of building state education agency capacity. Board members include the five Chief State School Officers in our region (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.) The Chiefs also nominated other members, including classroom educators, school administrators, education researchers, parents and business leaders.
